Audit seniors often lead one or more accountants in the field, instruct them in the work to be performed and review the work of staff accountants and direct necessary revisions. Senior auditors are required to make decisions on most accounting and auditing matters in preparation for final review. They serve as the point of contact between the client and the firm during the engagement.
Audit seniors have the opportunity to work with a variety of clients, including, but not limited to not-for-profit, hospitality, schools, manufacturing, retail and employee benefiit plans. Compilation and review work is also part of our practice.
Opportunities to be subject matter experts in practice group areas also exist. Requires a thorough knowledge of accounting and assurance in a public accounting setting.
In addition our audit seniors may provide research and litigation services for a diverse group of clients in one or more industries. He/she may be called upon to provide leadership, supervision, training and performance feedback to staff level accountants.
Bader Martin does not require out of state travel for their assurance positions so you can enjoy going home each night to your own bed!
Senior level positions a minimum of three years recent public accounting experience and a current senior or supervisor title..
Excellent organizational, client service and communication skills.
Certified Public Accountant or eligible to take the CPA exam
Bachelor of Science or Bachelor of Arts in Accounting required, Master of Science in Assurance or Masters of Accountancy preferred.
